It's a duel. That means there are at least three things wrong with scissorkick.
1) It lags your opponent and thus they cannot flee. Unless rager duels are always to the death(I doubt it), I'd be a bit pissed off at Praerid for using scissorkick, especially since con-dying is a rager's destiny and that 1/3 con he could've possibly taken means less magi die.
2) In order to win a duel you have to get your opponent to flee before you do. Therefore, you want damage. He would've been better off Kans'ing or Kota'ing 'cause they have a better chance of doing the extra damage. People tend to practice kot and kan up to perfection whereas the kicks usually stay somewhere around 91%(at least I know I never bother going beyond that for the lower kicks of which scissor is one). So, theoretically one would think kot/kan would land more often, unless it's in the code that a perfect kot/kan lands less often than a scissorkick at 91%, which is possible, but intuition would still guide me towards kot/kan. Of the times kot/kan landed, the majority were capital letter damages with the highest being an Eviscerates and the lowest a devestates I believe, the scissorkick landed for a mauls, which is better than a devestates, but much worse than an EVISCERATES.
3) Scissorkick lags you for three rounds, at least that's what I remember and that's how the log reads. Kan/Kot lag for two which means by using two scissorkicks Praerid wasted 2 rounds, therefore instead of two scissorkicks he could've used three kan or kot and thus done more damage.
