Kan/Kot are good for more than their effects, in an assassin/assassin duel where you can't throw 'cause they'll roll out of it, kan/kot are your next best damage-dealing techniques, besides kicks and if you're going to use kicks there are certain ones you want to use and certain ones you don't, it being a duel and all(scissorkick being one you don't want to use(see reasons below)).

I would have kan'd till it landed, kot till it landed, caltraps, then gone back to kan/kot for damage or I would've used any kick but the first four that you get(wheel/sweep/scissor/mule*obviously*).

I'm sure you're just the bomb diggity in an assassin char Nine, so I'll anxiously await your telling me I'm wrong.
