RPK hits everyone you're fighting, but only the one you're beating on has a chance to avoid it. If it hits one, it hits all. So he could have redirected to the ele and spammed rising and hit the goose basically every time for a ***DEM. End of fight.

It's logic similar to that behind casting controlled fireball or geyser on a Rager ranger's bears, pre-revamp.
