You see my friend, this is a text based game, and like it or not, semantics, words, and contexts are all very important. So when the game tells me that I'm conjuring a cloud of purple dust, I'm fucking conjuring a cloud of purple dust, I'm not using an ancient mating call to call forth a million miniature purple elephants to dance around the victim(to use the humorous tidbit by Jarmel was it?). And when the victim of your faerie fog rubs the dust off of himself, he is in fact rubbing dust from himself, he's not waving his hands frantically trying to disperse your worm and maggot gas.
Some spells are a little less cut and dried. Eyes can tingle through any number of methods, but purple dust is fucking purple dust and you're CONJURING the shit. So until the imms change the goddam echo from the spell you will continue to CONJURE purple dust.
You can flaunt your new and improved "thinking" all you want, but all you're really doing is spouting the answers that some putz has deemed correct, even though they fly in the face of something like 5 years of history and acceptance of a particular set of norms and values. This isn't some grand revolution in the thinking of the CF playerbase and more specifically masters, it's just another example of master applicants and members alike cowing themselves to the whims of a leader. It's not free thought, it's conformity for fear of being booted.
I'm not impressed.
