even in this valley beyond the mountains. You slow the flapping
of your wings and glide for a moment, to marvel once again at the
view. No matter how many times you see it, the view from above
the clouds still invokes a childlike reverence in you. It is as
if the clouds themselves form a whole new tier of land high above
Thera, of rolling white hills with a few dark thunderheads
scattered among them. Looking down through a break in the clouds,
you see the city Udgaard arranged before you. A series of
buildings arranged in a very orderly fashion, with the streets
forming concentric circles around the main courtyard. The city
is quite obviously dominated by the large edifice of Udgaard
Loke's Palace, which is not quite as imposing from several
thousand feet above as it is on the ground. Tall Mountains ring
the valley around the city to the north, west, and south, and
plains extend out from the city to the eastern horizon.
