emperors are not chosen for their leadership their strength or anything like that,( i mean my god even a healer has been emperor) from my deductions, 95% of the decision is based on how much they donate, about 2% is their skill(basically do they die all the time or can they hold their own in a mass slaughter with 5 other people behind them) and the last 3 a jumble of other things, though this is all on top of the roleplaying. Thats how emperors are choosen, because obviously they do not always choose the most powerful.
