Great idea, but I shudder at the merest inkling of the dawning of an idea of the thought that I could lose 200 or 300 hours of my life, painfully and slowly recorded, from a Sylvan death squad kill.
I think there's something here though. Perhaps something similar to the role command, but you only designate ONE person to see it. I.e., the master, apprentice thing (sith). So over my career, I've penned some 20,000 words, at which point I decide I'll let one person, my apprentice, see it, and noone else.
Or, better yet, perhaps all in a cabal could see it; thus the library idea...i.e., if there are 40 Masters (or whatever system, I assume Masters) are in the tower (not necessarily on), any other Master could see this 'library' of Master's 'pennings'/grimoires.
Or a combination of both; a grimoire that all masters can see, and a special edition meant for inner secrets of the art that only a special soul would see. And it's the responsibility of the tower/apprentice to make use of that information before that master passes on to meet his maker.
Hmmm....
