I have to disagree with you. CF is a very hostile place so there are alot of room descs that have something dangerous in them.. it adds to the atmosphere. Now the look command I use alot too, but it often says it would be dangerous to go in that direction etc but its not an autodeath room. Some are more obvious than others, but some are just silly.
Falling/get blown off various mountains for example, theres half a dozen rooms with near same text for look but only one actually kills you.
I would much rather die from a mob where I have little chance of fleeing or something (but have a chance) than walk into a room and suddenly be dead and have to wait at the pit for 20mins for my gear.

no - I hate trial by error. I died half a dozen times figuring out one of the quests (and got a buddy killed a few times to boot). I died because I had to experiment on wether I should have a certain item in my hand, in my eq or in my backpack at certain places.
Whilst the quest says you must have the item it meant one not the other and didnt tell you wich-there is no great feeling of satisfication to work something like that out. to top it off I couldnt use any of the items which you got from finishing it *mutter* - apart from that though it was a good quest, and I got alot of satisfaction from sussing it out.
