Sometimes they... aren't concerned if they lose the head or not... Sometimes they... *gasp* roleplay a bit.
How long does it take for a hero warrior and two midranked warriortypes to knock the Golem from covered to dead? Now you elitist types might disagree and/or prove me wrong - but it's less time than your 'Average PK skilled' player need to prepare.*
* Does not apply to those players that could have a 100-0 pk record with a troupe healer
