Some players have difficulty thinking on their feet
when out of the norm situations arise. In this case,
Laureolia did manage to stick to her Maran guns. She
remained true to her character. However, I believe
there is a certain finesse.. a certain 'thinking on
their feet' quality that good roleplayers tend to have.
I know it's one that you tend to have. Since I have
had an opportunity to deal with you on a couple of brief
occasions.

To point out some things from the log.. Chayan had done
nothing to warrant Scarabs arrival on to the scene. The
character believed the dark god had taken away his Dawn
powers (besides being told the contrary), and demanded
his return to the Haven. No where was he seeking to find
his inner scarab, and turn dark. She had Chayan seemingly
condemned before she had done a thing. IMHO, Maran jargon
wasn't warranted here.. unless Chayan had exclaimed.. Dark
lord, free my inner scarab. Chayan didn't.

As to your points made above.. personally, I know there is
more to Laureolia than this log. It won't affect my interactions
with her or Chayan, but unfortunately, I can't speak for
everyone.
