1) Undead are unliving minions... corpses brought back to life, in other words. So zombies, skeletons, ghouls, liches, ghosts, wights, spirits, and vampires, among others.

2) I'm fairly sure his natural attack is freezing bite. Lots of mobs don't have a blunt barehanded attack. And hands are easier to parry than a mace.

3) Undead (see #1) cannot be dirted. Ever. They can't be blinded, period, so you could try to dirt a million times, and all would fail. Same for casting blindness, etc.
