The Open Sea
The sea and the sky, the sky and the sea. Sea and sky, sky and sea.
When was the last time you saw land? When was the last time you didn't
see blue or gray? You think you may go mad from all of the space!

There lies a short sword.
<100%hp 98%m 73%mv> get sword
You get a short sword.
Now, my point is that sword shouldn't have been there. A sword is made of metal and should sink when dropped in the water. The same goes for most non-wood-things (Not small pebbles). It would make sense that if you were disarmed at the sea, you would have to dive down to get your weapon. Perhaps if one had a 60-foot yard it could be argued that it would land on that, but really who have such when it is really needed ? This would make diving more fun, picking up that wand of ocus someone dropped, getting that one big pile of gold from the decayed corpse ect.
