This kind of thing is what leads to Imm conspiracies. (I myself heard a rumor that Gareth used to do stuff like this).

It looks to me like either a bug, or someone not doing what they should be.

My advice, is to send the UNEDITED log to the Imps. Most likely you will not get an answer, but there is a small chance that if something is going wrong, that the offending party might actually be taken care of.
