The cabal-hopping problem isn't a Rager thing, or an Arbiter thing. It's a player thing. It goes on any time a player decides that he/she only wants to play when they are "winning", regardless of cabal affiliation.

Personally, if an IMM sees someone log off when their range gets ugly, then log back on with a different character to be on the winning "side", and they deny both characters, I throw a fist in the air and cheer out loud. Character mixing is against the rules, and for very good reason.

I have zero doubt in my mind that there are a number of cases of this every day of CF. Log a "who" when you sign in, and keep logging them every half-hour or so. Watch the 35+ level characters. More than one cabal has either zero members on, or a huge deathsquad. It's not even subtle or gradual anymore.

I'd love to see enforcement of this ratcheted up. People apparently aren't afraid to risk it right now, as evidenced by how rampant it is.

Go Underdogs!

The one point where I disagree with you is where you ask that players "don't let other people ruin it for you". If this was, say, checkers, that could be true. You can sit and just play your style and ignore the jerks. But CF is interactive, and roving deathsquads can make the game less fun for anyone who can't hide from them. Personally, I'm pretty good at staying out of sight when I don't want to be seen. But when you see newer players get flattened by a huge gang (all of whom are right next to each other on the "who" list, and never seem to be on without their cabal item) then that newbie isn't "letting" the others ruin his game. That newbie is trying to play, even though the odds are against them, and getting crushed worse than usual because of cheating. Disgusting.

> ..but let's leave the hatred IC and not bring it here. I can hate Masters with all my heart, but once I type "quit" I can see how rough they have it and try to look at things through their eyes. As far as the ganging ragers, I would hope they get the shaft, but sometimes it just doesn't happen, you just have to move on after all it is just a game, don't let other people ruin it for you. The Imms will notice you fighting against the odds instead of with them; I just wish they would reward people on the losing side with some sort of praise or maybe trans into a mob to assist them. I can see why people bandwagon due to the monotony of ranking and practicing and it's still no excuse, but if rewards were handed out based on adversity I think you'd see alot less of it.
