Not only a master philosophy, a mage philosophy. If you do not want to go walk all the way, then have fun and teleport to somewhere close *grin*
I believe masters have to prepare less than regular mages, and if this isn't your cup of tea, play an assassin, well play anything other than an invoker.

They are probably the most dependant class in that aspect.
