First, Okdeo is a very smart opponent (for Empire standards). Kiac, backrake has a three round lag on it when you hit, two if missed. There really was no need to be using it. Go for entangle. Another good thing to do is waylay before the snare, that way when he flees, there is a good chance of him being snared. Bearcharge him to avoid being marked (though I'm not too sure how mark of the prey works, only fought against it). Or even, try and call lightning on him when you see him advancing or when you noticed you couldn't ambush, it would have hit pretty nicely. The last thing is...do not underestimate your foe.
