The Third Floor landing
The large spiral staircase stops momentarily at a large landing here. The
walls about the landing are almost completely bereft of any furnishing at
all. No chairs, tables, or other furniture is present within the room, nor
do any paintings, tapestries, or decorations of any kind adorn the walls.
Only the omnipresent continual light globes in their sconces make any
interruption of the monotonous reddish-white marble. A strange air hangs
about this chamber, different from that of the rest of the Tower.. almost
as if the was a sense of magical power hanging in the air here. In the
west wall, a stout oaken door leads to the walkway around the parapet of
the Tower. At either end of the landing, the spiral staircase continues
upwards.

The Pinnacle of the Tower
The spiral staircase opens up to a large room inside the large spire of the
Tower itself. The ceiling of the chamber rises high above you, sloping up
into a point far above you. Somehow, the very fabric of reality here seems
to resonate with magical power. The marble walls seem to glow vibrantly, and
hum a nearly inaudible song. In the center of the room, a large dais raises
up off the floor. Resting upon the dais is the central focus for the magical
power within the room, within the Tower itself: a large altar. Behind you,
the spiral staircase descends back down towards the ground.
