in defense - people hardly ever (unless they are rangers) sit by whilemstift (quick runs for water excluded) - so it is likely that it wasnt seen before.
If not, did you attack him the first time? Everytime, even if it means you will con-die? No. You only attacked him when there was an Imm present, which is begging for an ass-whipping, which is what you got.

bah! old school players sometimes find it hard to pick up the role command. magtogrames role was lousy but taking a minute to talk or watch him you would have a fairly good understanding of what he was. IMMs coped before without the role command... benefit of the doubt maybe? Its not like attacking an imm controlled mob is a sane choice, there has to be a reason for it.
I had 2 uninductions - once for not returning to the village quick enough with Jachyra (I was being led around and had no idea where I was.. I was a newbie) and once as Magtograme (which I thought was crap).

I never saw him cast as Oblanaider - but I would have taken MAJOR offense to it if I had (probably ranted, done something over the cabal channel, posted a note and tried to kill him - if I didnt get some interaction to prevent it)
I should have got voluntered to get uninducted with the Dhaevor fiasco as Frrthistz cos I was definetly not on Dhaevors or the imms side of it (If I had seen it happen I would have quit with the others).. as it was that character ended up in a village he didnt know and ultimately led to him deleting.
