Ok, first off, I know this is the typical "elite" refrain, but you ABSOLUTELY need wands. You cannot hope to fight even semi-competent Ragers as a mage without damage reduction. You had a healer for sanc... if you add shield and aura on top of that, plus stoneskin and the innate resistance of the porcupine, you would be taking very very little damage.
Secondly, don't bother shifting to wolf. Wolf is useless against a Rager warrior.
Fighting the massive giant at all was a poor choice. You got dirted and that seriously hurt your effectiveness in that fight. Fleeing and retargeting people other than Trewyn was the way to go there... don't fight a spear-spec as a porc. Just don't, it's silly. Don't stand there for more than one round if you find yourself fighting him, things aren't going to magically improve. Best you could do there was focus on Hysh whose claws totally screw him and/or Ayragus, and leave Trewyn for another day. That group was not going to kill him.
For warriors who use long weapons, you need to spell up with wands, and revert/halt/fumble, then shift.
For Rager warriors who use long weapons, bring a warrior or other fighting class of your own, to disarm him and trip/bash him while your quills destroy him.
