Just today I had almost the same problem.
I have walked accidentaly into spider web west from Galadon.
I tried to move out using 'forest haven' and got 5 fails.
I gave up and just used potion of return.

Looks like immortals changed something to harden
people leaving no exit rooms. Wonder what for...
