I'm doing stuff. I've got weapons up in the 95+ range, some perfected. I've got parry perfect, dodge at 95. Dex maxed, str maxed, etc. I'm duergar, he's a storm giant. I'm wielding a flail and an axe and I guess he's wielding maces. (I'm 98 at mace). And yet he dodges/parries pretty much everything and I dont. I realize some is due to using a flail as primary, but still... oh well.
