I've been accused countless times of being an elitist information-hoarder, and I think you're being excessive here.
If he said "You should go to X area and get Y item, which casts earthbind, and is in Z room, and use it in situations like this" then I'd think you were right, and seriously consider deleting the post.
Are the words "an earthbind rod" taboo somehow? It's a common sense strategy that anyone would suggest if Aelinathea had been a transmuter, to buy some time at least.
Alternately, Culhwch could have used a "scroll of anti-magic shell" to better prepare for the fight, or Aelinathea could have fled and eaten a "pill of rejuvinate" to last longer.
Do these things exist? Yes. Knowing that something exists and knowing how to get it are two different things.
