Well, I think he understood the second time around,
at least.

The thing is, every time you fail a stab or artery shot
the opponent gets a free shot at you which is very difficult
to dodge, parry or shield block. Since dagger skills miss
rather frequently (in comparison to other skills, such as
kick) its a much better strategy for him to kick the
nightgaunt (although I might've opted for feint) rather than
stabbing it and risk getting knocked to 50% health, at which
point he'd probably die to the conjurer and his buddies.

Besides, kick rocks.
Just ask Zorszaul and Jafarlin.
