A rainbow of colors shoots out from Aeylin's hand.
A yellow beam of light hits the convict!

The Temple of the Phoenix
As you enter the temple you are almost breathless at it's beauty.
Made from white marble, with tiny veins of silver running throughout
it, it is here that those branded with the phoenix plan thier warfare
upon evil, and pray to Shokai. The roof is supported by many columns
that line the sides...allowing the breezes of the mountain to sweep
through the temple. The ceiling above is open in a large skylight,
and you realise that the phoenix statue you saw earlier, must be made
of some strange crystal that allows light to pass through it. Four
tapestries line the walls, one hanging in each of the cardinal directions.
The one on the northern side is made of a deep rich crimson silk, the
eastern one from what looks like white samite. The western one almost
appears to be made of woven silver, and the southern one of pure gold.

[Exits: south]
An ominous twisted tree rises from the cracks in the pavement, bleeding
sap from all sides.
(Glowing) An altar of swirling light fills the room with a silvery glow.

A large arial stands here, offering to heal your wounds.

Palanthos says 'the tree!'

Serway says 'Never heard a convict scream...'

Palanthos smirks.

Aeylin sits down and rests.

Tharena leans out of one of the doorways to throw up.

Recollecting herself, Tharena examines the tree to note:
An ominous twisted tree rises from the cracks in the pavement, bleeding sap
from all sides.
When you look inside, you see:

[And at trying to pick the lock the tree seems to have had, Tharena utterly fails.]

Serway says 'whatcha we gonna do? Move all the trees up here?', boggling at the concept.

Tharena says 'You know.. That's so sick and twisted.'

Serway says 'A source of power.'

Aeylin says 'Could take a long time..and mana..'

Palanthos says 'But if it is what we must do...'

Tharena says 'Either we accidentally blow up Shokai's shrine.. Or it works.'

Serway boggles at the concept.

Palanthos says 'but why here?'

Tharena says 'It is a place of the light.'

Palanthos says 'ah'

Finve tells Tharena 'any news?'

Tharena tells Finve 'We can't find the seventh.. but come back here.'

Palanthos sits down and thinks deeply, then says 'maybe they can donate it'

Tharena falls down laughing.

Serway says 'Yeah right'

Pelagar snickers softly.

Tharena says 'I have a thought..'

Aeylin says 'This is locatable..'

Tharena says 'Silence, please.'

Serway says 'I just spoke with Alodar. He said he has no issue in this tree
business'

Tharena says 'Serway!'

Serway bows deeply.

Palanthos closes his eyes and hums for an instant.

Tharena says 'Merciful Milil!'

Serway says 'I asked him it I was to be his enemy in this tree business.'

Serway shrugs helplessly.

Tharena bonks Serway on the head (several times) for being such a moron.

Palanthos says 'ouch'

Tharena says 'And he's not dead yet? Some assassin you are.'

Aeylin says 'Alodar can be a friend at times.'

Finve nods, then notices the tree in the shrine. 'tree?!!! here????'

Tharena says 'like the decorating job?'

Aeylin grins evilly.

Tharena says 'Hey..'

Serway says 'I came up with a crackpot idea and it worked, go figure.'

Aeylin says 'We moved it..'

Tharena says 'I have a question..'

Tharena says 'Which tree is this?'

Palanthos says 'ofcol's'

Aeylin says 'Ofcol.'

Serway says 'Usually I get screamed at.'

Palanthos smirks at Serway's saying.

Finve says 'how you did it?'

Tharena says 'Guys..'

Palanthos says 'If we had only listened to you earlier'

Tharena says 'If you want to talk about it.. Go outside.. I need to pray.'

Serway bows before Tharena.

Palanthos leaves.
Pelagar leaves.

Glancing at the tree again, Tharena shivers.

Tharena kneels before the altar, and bows her head in prayer.
"Lord Shokai, I seek your wisdom and guidance at this time.. if you can, please answer."

[And there is silence, for some time..]

Tharena group-tells 'Okay.. Shokai isn't responding.. Ye can come back, I guess.'

Tharena group-tells 'Hello?'

Serway group-tells 'Aye m'lady'

Aeylin hugs Tharena.

Aeylin says 'Fear my time has come for now.'

Serway group-tells 'Night Aeylin'

Tharena says 'Oh.'

Aeylin says 'May the Light Shine on you always.'

Tharena tells Evendir 'Then we heard about it.. and started.. borrowing..
convicts.. And we brought one tree back to where I stand.. in Lord Shokai's shrine. We figured out
how to remove the Trees from Thera altogether, and set out to do so.. But... the realms shook,
trembled, and failed. When we returned, the 3 trees left were gone. Methinks that the gods were
angry that the trees could be moved.. and the evil power will create trees with better roots.'

Evendir tells Tharena ''

Tharena giggles.

Serway says 'Eh m'lady?'

Serway pokes Finve in the ribs.

Tharena says 'Telling Evendir about the lack of trees..'

Tharena smiles at Finve.

Serway says 'Heh'

Finve nods.

Evendir tells Tharena 'What else have you discovered? I heard mention of.. keys?'

Tharena tells Evendir 'Inside the trees, there were Keys..'

Serway says 'Hmm, been a long and interesting day...'

Serway says 'If you do not nee my presence in Thera any longer m'lady, perhaps I might take my

Tharena says 'Aye..' smiling at Serway.

Serway says 'That ring you hold is a symbol of the bond we have together
m'lady.', grinning at Tharena.

Tharena smiles at Serway, saying 'I remember always.'

[The ring was a symbol of Tharena's friendship with Serway, of him bringing her out of Seantryn
Modan, where she had been hiding herself in something close to solitude, for some time. Feeling
sorry for herself.]

Serway says 'We seem to be extending this family quite large'

Tharena tells Evendir 'Serway is on his way out.. I am the only one left of the effort, right now..'

Serway says 'Aeylin and I being brothers, you almost being a sister, Kala his wife, then kala was
adopted by Elmaster and Dallas... Wow.', boggling at the concept.

Tharena says 'Aeylin has been like a brother for a long time.. And Kala thinks of me as a mother..'

Serway says 'Aye, Aeylin and I go way back :o) I think of you as the closest friend.'

Tharena tells Evendir 'Know you that each step I take is in fear?'

Serway says 'In like 10 minutes, he'll be asking us to help him get out of

Serway says 'Well, when shall you be around when your spirit decides to wake up again?'

Tharena tells someone 'I believe the other follows Nazmorghul, or someone equally disgusting.'

Someone tells Tharena 'Aye.. It would sound as such.'

Serway tells Tharena 'After this quest is over, I want to sit down with you and have a great long talk.

Serway says 'Get a little rest hon. Tomorrow could be a really important day'

Serway says 'I'll be back soon to get that blade. Need it before Moridn
decides to revist the realsm and kill me when I am not protected'

Serway hugs Tharena, tipping his hat gallantly.

adventuring.. =)'

Greetings, Ragers!

I know you can be very uncertain of those like me, at times... but I'm
writing you about something quite serious. Ye've all seen the evil
encroaching on the realms... and I'm here to tell ye who's responsible.

Remember that old enemy of yours.. the Masters? Yeah.. you know the
ones.. Well, they're trying to be responsible for killing a good many
lightwalkers, and a good amount of the fair maidens of the realms.

Together with the Empire, they've teamed up to form a near undefeatable
foe.

We need your help. I know ye have problems with some of our magics, but
the world as we know it is in danger, and I'm asking you to put some
of your differences aside. There can be agreements made in battle, at
least for now, that magic is not used about ye all. Or even go out
yourselves! If you can take out any Master, or Empire child, it makes
the job of protecting the light, and the world, that much better.

Think of the alternatives: A world with no one to combat.. No Troupe to
make ye drinks.. no Knights to duel with... It will be a world ruled by magic! The evil magics of the
Masters should be stopped, and I know
ye're the best ones for the job! Think of the glory of the songs that

And the rest of the scroll is lost deeply to the winds of time... And that concluded the even's
proceedings (or should I say morn).. Though there was always something on the horizon.

You can see the state of mind, the state of surroundings of Tharena, perhaps it explains her
decisions... And consider that a lot of this took place at about 2-5 am, EST, when good little elves
like Tharena should have been sleeping.
