Right. Sure does seem like there are *alot* of interpretations of "lawful" don't there? Sure does make the whole law/chaos struggle seem a bit antiquidated, doesn't it? Sure does put up a good argument for making it so guards do not automatically attack chaotics *even if the lawfuls are the ones attacking in town* doesn't it? Sure does imply that lawful testimony never should have carried more weight than chaotic, doesn't it? Anyway, guards shouldn't assist for two reasons: 1. Bad Roleplaying: Lawfuls attack in towns just as much as Chaotics, and I've yet to see someone punish them for it (except that one Knight Paladin that Gareth smoked a long, long time ago) 2. Good Roleplaying: Lawfuls manage to create a justification for how it really is lawful to attack in town just as much as Chaotics. Just seems like having the guards assist is a huge disadvantage for chaotics and doesn't make much sense with all the bad roleplaying and good roleplaying there is out there. I'm off my pedestal, now.
