I don't need to conceive of the reboot to know that if I give them to someone else, they'll end up back in circulation. That can be rationalized in any number of ways. Perhaps the weaponsmaster has agents seeking the bracers for him, who steal them back. Whatever. There's absolutely nothing wrong with "hoarding" per se, if you play regularly, either keeping spares, or keeping items that you don't want in the hands of your foes. I remember Hvitlok noting that he used to collect headdresses of Galadriel, for example.

I wouldn't do the same with something more overtly magical, like an etched, not because I think it's hoarding, but because my character wouldn't feel comfortable carrying around something so tainted for a long period of time. The bracers, however, were a bit more borderline, since Ragers in the past most certainly have worn them.
