You are right it didn't say that, but tell me how many elves would consider
something undead a friend? In some sense, why do you role a lightwalker. Why
shouldn't alignment fit into this. You can't just discard who you are, and I
imagine in 90% of the sci fantasy realms, you won't find an elf who would consider
an undead a friend.

I liked it happening with Istendil because it really did cross the boundaries
of the status quo, but this shouldn't be a common occurance.

Nowhere did I say she had to be an instrument of his distruction, but I will question
any good aligned elf who considers an undead a friend. Again, why do we have alignemnt
in this game. Zors has killed hundreds of lightwalking folk. Is Shermie going to look
passed this and see the good inside? Am I the only one this doesn't make sense to?

I'm talking exclusively about elves as a race. Of course being good does
not mean you have to hate evil. It doesn't mean you have to run off and
destroy it everytime is crosses your path. However, you SHOULD be wary of
it. Someone who is evil will likely turn on you as surely as he would look
at you. You can't sit there and say 'we're buds'. Given the proper excuse
he could turn her corpse into a lovely phylactery. Not to mention, how many
of her friends have been turned into phylacteries.
