I'm going to assume that this event transpired fairly recently (please refrain from all the "assume" retorts). I've been playing my Imperial slave for awhile now, maybe missing out on Quinthen's first week or so as Emperor. During this time, not once have I heard mention of any pact between Daryslon and the Empire. Correct me if I'm wrong, this pact was made by Sevietrem, Agorinth's successor who actually instigated the war after razing the city to the ground. The current Emperor, Quinthen, to my knowledge either a) Knows about the pact, agrees with it while not saying anything to the Empire (this I doubt), b) Knows about it but deems it null and void considering the pact was made by failed and fallen Emperors, or c) is like my character and knows nothing about it. So, my long winded point is this. I don't know if the citizen in question knew about this "pact" or not. Maybe a warning, like the initial attack, or even yelling a warcry during the fight hinting at the betrayal of the pact, anything other than a rank 45+ mob beating down and tracking down a 30-ish ranked person better than most pk'ers do. Actually, I hope this continues. I'm still sore I missed out on the war during Agorinth's reign. ROW
