I agree, aliases and triggers aren't that bad. I use two-letter aliases for spells or skills so that I don't lose 3 rounds of combat typing them in (plus typos..sheesh)
Also I agree with the long name thing. I thought the imms might have fixed that problem by having people show up as "Syydknienfiduenm the dark-elf is here". but you can't just "murder dark" so I guess they didn't fix it afterall.
Heh...I remember when I first started playing - I finally got a telnet program that allowed aliases - click one of the buttons and a stream of commands would be sent to the mud.
I thought that if I could click a button and cast three spells and brandish a lodestone all at the same time, I would surely get the advantage in battle.
Heh..you should have seen me trying to flee with 15 or 16 commands in the queue.
