Hardly, the point was that he had walked in and fled 4 or 5 times in the time it took me two go through two serpent strikes which are done every round. It doesn't happen everyday so its not pointless. The assassin posted a few skills going up, it happens everyday to those people practicing skills up with arial, drow elf or creatures of high intelligence.
