This has happened to me as well.

Another thing that I have noticed with MANY of my chars while ranking at low ranks, is you can always spot a baron wannabe by the pedantic,random, meaningless questions and answers that you get when you ask them if they want to group.....do they have ANY idea that this is SOOOOOO over played?
