What's stupid is trying to play a healer like a warrior. If you're killing a healer over and over, then that healer is absolutely terrible. Not very surprising -- I'd rate the average skill level of healers as lower than almost any other class.
In some ways the healer abilities appear similar to the abilities of the other communing classes, but playing one well requires a different mindset entirely from those classes or any other.

Here's a challenge for those of you out there who consider yourselves among the better players. Make a healer, and try to be a good one. That means being the kind of healer who can jump in on a many on one fight and make the one win, among other things -- not killing everyone in your range. To give you something to shoot for: a healer, played right, makes a transplendant archon look like crap. (Yes, I'm factoring everything into that) It's more different than playing a killing-style character than you might imagine -- and a boatload of fun (in my opinion).
