Granted, I have had no sylvan in the Sebeok regime, so I plead ignorance to much that goes on in the cabal. I did not reduce myself to name calling, instead dealing in generalities, not needing to finger point. However, my post generated what I wanted, a few opinions. Most of them seem to agree with me that Sylvan is a bloodthirsty mess... in general... there are some fine players there, no doubt, but the bad apples do spoil the barrel in this case. Once again, this is all IMHO.
