Speaking of jafarlein, he was a human invoker, right? And fighting assassins, or cloud/arial ragers, yes? So he pretty much always had the level advantage, like four-seven levels over his enemies? As I've been saying, my spells not once went through when fighting someone of equal or greater level. (Equal only at hero, obviously, since I didn't fight any imms)
Jaf, of course, didn't have to worry about that at higher levels.
Still even with that, I'd like to see his big winning streak -- your words make it sound like he was what, 50-2? I'd like to see him doing that without bash protection, etc, a mage, in the 20s. If you dont want to post them, email them. I will keep it confidential if you wish.

> I watched Jafarlin do it to villagers out of my pk range in the 20 to 40 ranks when mages are said to be weak. Many times. I saw him get beat by them one time and it was a three on one gang. I would bet on the smart invoker every time. I would bet on a good mage plus any decent complement character including a second mage against any number of villagers every time.

> > Nobody has more respect for your skills playing a lich these days, Zors, but get off your high horse and come down to earth (thera?) and see the reality of the game.

> The reality is that there are mages who can do it. If you can't you must not be as good. There is nothing wrong with being less good. Just don't lie to us about it.

> > And none of this "you can get your four friends to help, etc etc etc." It's about one mage vs. one rager. It's about being below level 38 so you can be bashed. It's about being below level 30 so you cant use all those nice wands. It's about going one on one against someone who spellbanes virtually all (completely all when I was playing diarmuid) of your spells, so you can't really do anything to them, who is hasted, and who has deathblow to boots, on top of having about a 20-25 damroll *naked*. (Berserk, poncho, bloodthirst).
> I do not believe for one minute you had every spell cast while you played Diarmuid spellbaned. I do not think anyone playing a rager when the changes came in would believe it either. If that is true, then with that luck you should be playing the lottery instead of this game.
