First: use a name, not an anonymous post. > 2. Like sect leader powers are that great when you compare them to other cabals. > Bloodoath is its own reward. You oath someone, you can demand they pay you, you can demand a service, you get the "cachet" of having increased the empire and the respect of other citizens, etc, and the simple addition of another servant to the empire is the "power" you get. Piling on more skills/spells/powers is totally uneccesary and unwarrented, let alone not particularly fitting within the rp of the situation.
Second: Sect leader powers *are* that great. Look at the blade power, you get autotrip, autodirtkick, autodisarm, autodirtkick. Are you kidding me? You don't see how powerful that is??? And the Emperor gets *all* *four.* So what if it is only one person. It's still too much. And that's over and above regular empire powers each sectleader has just for being in empire.
And empire powers suck? Do you have any idea how powerful black sanc is? What it does? Centurions? Having a hoard of people to fight for your side? Volley and orderly mind? Come on, these are powerful.
And remember what the supposed justification for sectleader powers was: a perceived lack of roleplaying in empire, not enough ambition to take leader spots. *puke*
There is a lack of roleplaying in all cabals. Empire shouldn't benefit for this when nobody else does. (Which is not to say I think other cabals and their leaders/adepts/veterans/elders/etc should get
more power. No, I think empire sectleaders should lose theirs.) The way to increase roleplay is to increase roleplay. To not induct those that don't roleplay into *any* cabal. If the Imms of the cabal want to increase the roleplay, then instead of being wizi and waiting to anathema people who attack in town or something, they can instead step in and smack down those that don't roleplay. Those that go ooc. Those that break role. Etc. The reward for those that play well is playing well and doing well, and some will become cabal leaders, like in every other cabal. You don't need an added bonus incentive of sectleader powers, and all it does is make the sectleaders a bit unbalanced and overpowered. (Not that they are overpowered in the sense that they are unbeatable, but that individuals just shouldn't get all these extras just for doing what everyone is *supposed* to be doing, which is roleplaying in your cabal.)

> 3. How can you say their should not be a reward for bloodoathing. Bloodoathing is the single most important act a citizen can do to help Empire. It is the power base and future of Empire.
