He played a scarab air major and had a better than average knowledge of how to prepare for a fight. He capitalized on surprising a foe to gain a large number of kills. Imagine some of the present air majors, while not nearly as effective, could still show a log or two that would be comparable. The novelty of his form made for a killfest.
