Overhead rarely works, and doesn't really do much other than lag the user, with occasional good damage. Pincer is going to stun the mage and do pretty good damage, if it connects, I've seen some Nasty pincers. Vintak most recently was a very successful axe spec warrior (Cloud I think, Rager). If you have it, go for pincer first, more accurate = more % for damage
