What do you mean camo isn't good for hunting? Camo to hide, creep to the opponent, then ambush or bearcharge them before they even know you're there. With axes, you can dish out a good deal of hard-to-parry damage, and if I'm not mistaken raking claws does bleeding damage...I never got that far with a ranger though.

Sure, you're not going to be as strong as a warrior, and mages can rip you apart if you aren't ready - but if you get the jump on a battle, you will probably come out ahead.

The key to rangers is the element of surprise.
