For anyone outside of the empowerment classes I might agree. I am not in any way, shape or form an expert on empowerment. In the past I stayed > Then make empowerment something you need to do to gain certain communes. For example? You don't give a healer: gate, rejuvenate, lifshield, group teleport > But you still get some certain communes allowing you to atleast stay alive and level. I would just like to know where you draw the line. Give examples of what > the number and which communes that require empowerment can be picked in order to stop people making non-roleplaying cleric pkers yet enough to not make you completly useless. I don't see how switching to the system you mentioned actually prevents non roleplaying > Then you can pray when you log on and when you log off like X hours later > This also encourages you to roleplay well and not to pk randomly since you know the imm who you seek empowerment could be watching you right now. I don't necessarily agree. The level 10 pk threshold provides you with some time
You decide to become a priest for a reason. Your personal convictions are usually
pretty set within your mind. Sure, there is room for flexibility through experience,
but in general people don't haphazardly become priests for the hell of it. They
usually have a tangible reason coupled to a strong faith. If I were an imm, I'd
expect the priest to have an idea why they seek my following. I don't think that's
expecting too much.

away from it. I was drawn back into it due to an idea I had for a character. It
does get boring logging on, and praying.. but find other things to do. With this
character I spent some time in the Inn reading about his religion. I hung out and
spoke with other clerics. I did some other things on the off chance the imm might
be watching. There was a point where I would've scraped the idea of having a priest
and moved back to my usual mage. I'm glad it never came to that.
and blade barrier? Where do you draw the line on what they should and shouldn't get?
you think a healer or shaman should or shouldn't get.
pkers. In fact, if you are given specific communes so you can survive, there is still the
potential for mindless pking. What would you exclude from a shaman or druid so they can
rank and survive while not being mindless pkers?

to develop your character, and to interact with other players without worrying
about some like Severyns trying to kill you for no reason what so ever. Take advantage
of the time when you are out of pk to show the imms you deserve empowerment.
