When are people going to realize that..:

This is an OOC Forum and an OOC website. Some of the information on here is years worth of work by Strahd in his quest to reveal the inner workings of a highly addictive game. The reason why he made his website was to spite the Imps after they deleted his Immortal (pretty sure about this). I believe Dioxide hosts this information and provides a comprehensive website for people breaking into the game and for people who've only played a couple of characters.

Yes, there are elitists in this game. Elitists that are concerned with every finite detail of the game and have been collecting and pooling information with friends for years. These are also the same elitists that tell you to ask in Game because when they were learning information, they never had a website like Glimos, Strahds, or Dioxides. These same elitists want you to trouble yourself with the same information they were forced to learn and how they learned it: On their own.

But the road works both ways. No amount of time staring at a map of the Underdark, is going to navigate you through there (and through the patrollers) like going there yourself.

The forum, in its regulated state, is good for the game and good for the players. Just because Dioxide hasn't updated his page with all wood-elf information, doesn't mean it cannot be shared on the board.

The entire reason why things like quests and wand locations are NOT revealed on the board or any other website, is that they will be changed once too many people know them. However, I do think that a comprehensive list of quests should be listed and the area they start in. The reason for this change is to get people to examine rooms, turn off brief, and study some of the work put into the descriptions of rooms. I've created areas before, I know what it's like to run through a place and not know what it looks like other than a nifty room title.

So unless someone is asking about where wand locations are or the steps to complete the Hell quest, SHUT THE FUCK UP, POST AN ANSWER TO THE QUESTION, OR DON'T POST AT ALL. I'm not the only one that's sick of the attitudes of the information hoarders and their nonchalant replies of "Ask in game."
