Well, here is my point of view on it:
1. Transform is GREAT, as it provides 10% resist
and (as far as I know) cannot be spellbaned.
As for decreasing learning... Well, practice damn
without thansform.
2. Tome is GREAT. Have you ever perfected a spell
within 15 minutes? You don't have to spend much time
on spamming spells now.
3. As for mana transfer... Yes, it would be nice,
but really it would make conjurers too powerful.
I think that not letting conjurers make use of this
spell would be inconsistent in some manner.
4. Magical control is pretty useful. From what I have
wrote ("some mana crap") I can see that you don't
understand how it works.Well, for invokers and conjurers
it is outstanding, for transmuters it is nice,
but for necromancers it is really of a very little
help (*poke Twist*). Learn more about it, and you will
see that it's ok.
5. Well, losing brew is sad, but Alchemy is no longer
one of Five Magics, so it will not stay a masterish spell
anymore.
6. I still think that masters are overpowered.
A single Sylvan actually has no chances vs. me.
(It's true). Even when I'm laggy and drunk. Because
the character itself is very strong. Of course,
when you're alone and there are healer, invoker and
air major against you, you will die, but this
doesn't mean masters became weak. Or OLD MASTER
would kill them all and stay in 100%hp?
7. As for losing anti-paladins... I think it is
consistent... They are not mages, so what should they
do there?
8. The master conjurer who didn't delete 2 weeks
after heroing is Calessin. He is in pk list,
he is still not old, and he has a lot of training
sessions, so he will be higher (trust me, I know).
There are ragers (no names, surely) who quit when
he approaches. I would play master conjurer myself
if I had enough time and good link. Actually, I only
log on Uli to prevent her from autodeletion (sad, but
true).
9.I think that if someone tones down master and rager
cabals together, it would improve game balance greatly,
cause ragers are also overpowered (though weaker, than
masters).
10. The only problem of the Tower is bad leadership.
After Serafim there was no good leader. Diarmuid
was ridiculous (sorry, but true), Oroxazrian...
well, not bad, but the applicants inducted are
mostly weak. Kudzurian... if I was a leader and conjured
a croaking challegha demon, I would commit a suicide.
THE QUESTS ON THERAN KNOWLEDGE SHOULD BE BACK
for all applicants. Don't tell me "I have a good
roleplayng and for that I deserve being a master".
This is sh*t. Master roleplaying is GATHERING
ADVANCED KNOWLEDGE. Who can you look for advanced
knowledge when you don't have common one???
A three year old boy or girl won't be accepted into
the University, because of insufficient knowledge,
not for anything else.
I don't mean much knowledge like 7 barrier wands
3 shield potions and being Nepenthe's char, but
at least the applicant should be able to find most
areas of Thera etc. This is not too much, but will
greatly increase master potential.
