I really, really like role. It's especially good if you play a non-traditional character. My current guy has on the order of 5 pages, and I kind of feel sorry for the IMM who read it all. (At least one did, based on some questions I got.) I at least hope the poor IMM found it interesting. =P

As far as format, I write it in the style of a diary or journal. This is one of many options, though- I thought about using third person omniscient ("Stahlhagen was born..."), but the character in question seemed the type to keep a journal.

What do other people do?
