Alright, you have four damage spells: fire seeds, spike growth, thorn, and sunray Are they all the same? No, the imms aren't stupid. Step #1: Read the help files, see what that tells you. Step #2: Test them out on different mobs and in different conditions. Go find an undead mob, and cast it on them. Go find a drow mob, a felar mob, a fire giant mob, and so forth. This shouldn't be at all difficult. Try casting them all indoors and outdoors. Find a friendly player and test them out on him, and ask him if there are any side-effects besides the damage that you may not notice at first. And so on. This is a point Zorszaul has made often, and it's one I agree with. If you expect to get all your answers from other people, you'll never be as good as they are. Figuring things out yourself gives you a twofold advantage:
a) You are more naturally familiar with the strengths and weaknesses of the supps, and will have a better sense of when to use which.
b) I don't know everything. Really. I could tell you what I think the merits and drawbacks of each of the four communes are, but I bet there are some that I'm overlooking, and then you'd just be limiting yourself. I can't even begin to count how often I learn something new about a skill/spell I thought I understood thoroughly.
