Dex loss is only relevant if they have dodge, or if a groupmate is trying skills that involve their dex, such as tripping. The AC penalty from the lost dex is again, believed to be nothing much to worry about.

Here I agree. I played a druid not long ago, and one of the great advantages you have is that your opponents are unlikely to know what you can and cannot do, except sunray.

I was also upset by the lack of acute vision. It's not so important from a PK standpoint (how many rangers or Sylvans will you be fighting?), but you feel dumb when you are out in the woods and can't see half of the forest creatures without resorting to faerie fog. Perhaps a wood-elf druid? Their ability is pretty close.
