I was raised by a set of loving parents. My father was a hard man,
a smith. He did not make weapons, usually, but instead he made
furniture and such. Complex wrought-iron works and the like.
I wasn't ever really tought the use of weapons, as Father wished
for me to eventually take his place at the forge. I had no
talent in that field. In fact, I managed to ruin almost anything
he set before me. I did, however, have a certain panache for the
hammers I used. The force I struck with was just not suitable for
he wanted to do with the metal.

So, with Father's permission, and mother putting up a brave front,
I enrolled at the Academy. My instructors saw in me the ability
of a Warrior, and noted that hammers and maces seemed to fit
my hands and body well. From the Academy I moved to the lumberyards,
as the sounds and smells were similar to and reminded me of the smithy.
I felt comfortable there. After a few hours, I was asked to join a party.
The other two were small people, smallther than most I'd seen. I later
learned that they were a thief and a necromancer, both humans. Smaller
humans than I was used to being around.

The humans stood behind me. The thief, on occasion, did some of the work.
The necromancer never once absorbed any blows. He stood there, chilling
our foes, sitting and casting spells at them from out of range. It sickened
me. I soon grew weary of it and departed the group. I never joined
forces with another Magician.

I met many magi after that. All showed no respect for themselves or
their foes, and least of all me. I had heard of the Village that I now
am a member of, and decided to apply. I was accepted by Nesam, and grew
in strength and friendship. Every day, it seemed, I prayed to the God
[Hit Return to continue]

that seemed to govern my true path, that of Honor. "Lord Cador," I would
pray, "Please grant me the strength to continue upon the Honorable path."
I prayed often for him. I fasted in his shrine. I thought that he chose
to ignore me. When I heard he had left the realms forever, I thought he
had abandoned me. I now know that he did not. He in fact did not in fact
abandon me, nor ignore me, but he is always with me, and always will be.
Upon my first prayer...before it, even, he had granted me the strength I
would later ask for, to stay to the Honorable path.

As time passed, I participated in the Rites of War. Takashimi bested me
in one round, I him in another. The diamond-light shone upon him to choose
the next Leader. I would follow Takashimi to the ends of Thera and back.
More than any other Brother, he shows the Honor I aspire to.
