The seashell to my knowledge is not considered magical, though I don't know why a ring that allows you to walk on water isn't.

As far as the pouch goes, of course it's magical, theres nothing in the pouch, then you close it and open it again and voila! there's food there. Unless some thief is sneaking up, stealing your pouch, putting food in it and sneaking it back into your inventory.
