Um, I do have a copy so here's what I assumed all those boxes meant.

The top total box is from all the highest seen stats (ie the highest rolled str so far has been a 19, the highest seen int a 18...even though they weren't on the same rolls) but if they were all seen together...there total would be the number found in this box. So it's like the highest rollable number.

The total box below that is the total of the roll right now.

The third total box is the highest total you've rolled so far (so it's the highest number that's been in total box 2 the entire rolling session.)

The number with the arrows that you can change is the total you want to stop at (you can then decide yes or no). So you alter it based on what you're looking for...and when the number in total box 2 is higher or equal to what you've set in the arrow one...the roller will stop and let you say yes or no.
