Masskilling someone (I'll define this as killing someone again and again and again and again, without giving them a chance to reequip, prepare, etc) just kinda strikes me as rude, even if there is a rp reason for it. Just because you follow Shok doesn't make it any less rude to masskill an evil (at least oocly it's rude) as for icly? *shrug* You go, you keep going, you let me know when you get there. It's kinda a delicate balance between ic and ooc here, but just like a few other things that you try not to do for ooc reasons (everyone has a few that are just accepted), to me at least, masskilling is one of them that just shouldn't really be done (unless you're proving a point to someone who is mouthy, in which case it's still rude, but justifiably so) I'll now return my soapbox to it's proper corner.
Since it seems to be somewhat of a topic for conversation lately, and just because, I thought I'd give everyone my OPINIONS on the matters (note, my opinions may or may not reflect the opinions of the general imm staff so take them for what they are.)
Masskilling to get on the pk list? That's just lame. If you can't kill people who are armed and ready to beat you to a pulp in a rematch...you don't deserve to be there. Do try to keep in mind that the pk list is an entity that exists outside of Thera...if you're rp'ing someone who kills for no apparant reason...make damn sure it's in your role...otherwise *shrug* don't expect much from the imms.
Other unholy things? Well...not fond of them, but they exist, and from time to time some of you out there make me utter the names of a few of those unholy things in frustration...though I'm sure I do the same to you (after all, that is what I'm trying to do). In closing, try to remember that this is a game...stepping on people to get your jollies is lame, if you can't "win" by fair, gentlemenly rules...expect to be treated without the same consideration. Also keep in mind no matter how big and ungodly you are...there's someone even bigger and more ungodly waiting to take you on, show some consideration for the person behind the character...at least every now and then.
