From what I could tell, there is a chance that you will harm the item (worse ac, lower avg damage). And no, druids cannot wear metal. In fact, it's kinda difficult to find anything but practice weapons early on because you a) have to bless it to wield it and b) it can't be metal. I've never tried communing it on someone else..I assume you mean to commune it on the items they are wearing? I doubt it would work though, as it is intended to be a utility spell rather than an offensive spell. Oh, and you can only do it once every x hours. Don't know what x's current value is, but you'll find it very difficult to practice. sparky
