At a college far away, CF made me smile.

I had just arrived at SUNY Buffalo. After meeting some new friends, we began a D&D group. A few weeks later, one member (Jay Nichols) came to me and said, 'Dude, you got to check this out. I found D&D online!' Well, I had to check it out...

I rolled a character named Drizzt, a drow warrior. I wanted him to be a good ranger, and figured the 'DM' might let me change it. I was, however, in the D&D school of thought regarding stats. Thinking that 12 was average, and 18 ripped, I took what I thought was a cool set of stats. After dying to a a snail in mud school, I deleted and began a half elf ranger named Montolio. I saw a tattoo, and thought it was pretty cool. I asked Morgath for one. Then I got hit by dispell goods, so I had to get rid of it. Then I got a tat from Twist. Then ethos went in, and I had to get rid of it. I was a Justice, and Twist was neutral-good. But I played constantly. And such was my downfall. I played constantly, even when I got the letter from the dean that said 'We regret to inform you, but you have been dismissed from SUNY Buffalo...'

Shortly thereafter, I became an imm, my grades went up, and the rest was history.

-[JUSTICE] Montolio DeBrouchee, Ranger.

PS-It wasn't any of my *friends* that repeatedly got buffalo.edu banned. There was this one dude who ran a group of three of his own characters with three VT100 terms side by side. 'It's the only way I can find a group I can trust,' he said. I don't think he ever got one of his 50 or so characters over 20.
